The history of technical education in this country has been a century old. It all began in 1904 when a Technical School began its operation on Weld Road (now Jalan Raja Chulan) to teach Technical Assistants for the Federated Malay States Departments of Railways, Survey and Public Works.
UTM strive to excel in multi-disciplinary research, particularly in science and engineering field, which have been UTM's focus area. In order to be top ranked institution both locally and globally, a number of Centres of Excellence were established to gather expertise from various faculties and background to work on the core business defined in the particular Centre of Excellence.
Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) has been recognized as one of the best university in Malaysia in producing high quality graduates. Once again this year, Career Centre UTM will be organizing UTM Career Carnival 2018 in the middle of April 2018 , at Dewan Sultan Iskandar (DSI), UTM Johor Bahru.

Students Affairs Office provides 10 residential colleges that can accommodate up to 14,774 students in one academic session and 301 housing units for students who bring along their spouse and children to stay with them throughout their studies in UTM.
There are two types of housing available for the students. One of which is the apartment type (a – two – room and a – three – room apartment) and the other is the town house with two rooms. Each housing unit is furnished with basic facilities such as furniture and refrigerator for the students’ convenience.
Moving within the campus can be a confusing and frustrating thing if you do not know your way around. UTM provides free campus bus services, the schedule can be accessed here . There are a few choices of Guest Houses in UTM to stay, the information regarding the charges, locations and contact number of the houses can be found here .

UGM is a good university with a positive environment. The lecturers are kind and always willing to help. The campus is surrounded by marts, restaurants, and shops, which really support student life. The university also provides a bus service for students. Overall, it's an excellent place to study—though a few administrative staff and wardens can be difficult and problematic to deal with, everything else has been great.
i recommend this campus because this campus have a lot of facility and this university is top 5 in malaysia and top 1 of engineering course in malaysia.im fourth year student and will be graduated this year so who want to continue to study here it will pleasure
The campus is quite nice, since this campus has a few faculties only. Overall, there's not much to complain about. The few faculties in this campus means that only a handful of programs are offered here. So if you want to join other programs, you will need to go to the main campus at the state of Johor instead, since this one is located in Kuala Lumpur. The college accommodation does not support many students though, so if you did not manage to get the accommodation, you will need to find other accommodations instead. But the campus has a mall+residency directly next to it, also owned by UTM. So there are other options that is accessible for students.
