Universiti Utara Malaysia was established to primarily develop and promote management education in the country.

History

Malaysia’s "The Sixth University Project" began in August 1983 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and the project was realized in the form of Universiti Utara Malaysia, the sixth public university of Malaysia.

  • The University Health Centre (PKU) provides medical treatment to students, staff and outsiders. It also offers guidance and education in health matters to promote good health and prevent diseases.

Campus life

  • As a fully residential university, Universiti Utara Malaysia provides accommodation for more than 20,000 students in 15 different residential halls. Many of these halls are named after multinational companies.

Sports facilities

  • Sports Centre is responsible to manage, organise, plan, regulate sports and recreational programme for students and staff. It is equipped with a modern complex and facilities covering an area of ​​74 acres offering almost 28 types of sports and leisure activities.
  • Sports Centre also focuses on high performance sports to participate in programme organised by the Malaysian University Sports Council (MASUM), SUKIPT, IMTGT and other activities at the highest level.
