Housing services

Maritime University students are offered accommodation in our dormitories / residence halls (PL: akademiki) which are located 300 meters from the main building of the Maritime University. KORAB and PASSAT are two, ten-storied buildings which can accommodate nearly 1000 students. The dorms offer single, double and triple rooms which, grouped into two or four, share one self-contained bathroom. Each room is equipped with standard furniture (bunk and single beds, cupboards, wardrobes, desks, chairs) as well as with basic equipment like duvets, pillows and sheets.

Library services

The Main Library of the Maritime University of Szczecin is an all-university institution of didactic, scientific and service nature. The Library was created from merged collections of the State School of Sea Fisheries and the State Maritime School. Its proper activity began in 1969, after the establishment of the Maritime College, transformed later into Maritime University.

Medical services

If you have no travel medical insurance after arriving in Poland, it is possible to become insured by the National Health Fund (NFZ). It is an obligatory common system of health care insurance for all citizens of Poland, which guarantees access to all public healthcare services (appointments with physicians and dentists, hospital treatments, medical tests and so on).

Campus life

The campus is located in the very centre of the city, just a 5-minute walk from the University’s main building at Waly Chrobrego. It is composed of two student dormitories named Korab and Pasat  - both are located in the vicinity of beautiful Zeromski Park, not far from Rodla Square -  city’s major public transport junction which makes any part of Szczecin easily available from this point. In close proximity of the campus there is the University library, the swimming pool, the canteen,  photocopying services as well as two big shopping centres, cinemas, theatres and restaurants.
