History

Established in 2005 the HECTOR School of Engineering & Management is the Technology Business School of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) . It‘s not for nothing that the KIT is worldwide renown for its German Engineering expertise. The HECTOR School is the answer for the demand of the industry for part-time continuous education programs.

Education

The HECTOR School is the Technology Business School of the KIT named after Dr. Hans-Werner Hector, one of the co-founders of SAP AG. The school endeavors to provide professionals with state-of-the-art technology expertise and management know-how in part-time education formats. With Executive Master Programs, Certificate Courses, and Customized Partner Programs, the HECTOR School fosters lifelong learning approaches of its industry partners and the executive development of its graduates.

Professors from the KIT, internationally recognized faculty members from our partner institutions as well as business experts from leading companies form the faculty of the HECTOR School.

Research

HECTOR School graduates will be able to execute state-of-the-art technology expertise combined with current management know-how in an international working environment. In doing so they will foster innovations and the success of their companies.

Housing services

The accommodation meets high service and living environment standards. Besides modern and comprehensively equipped living areas, additional services such as cleaning services or washing facilities are offered.

The HECTOR School offers 120 single rooms with shared kitchen and apartments with up to three rooms. In addition, 1-/2-/3- and 4-room-apartments are offered as family, company or professor apartments. All apartments are fully furnished and comfortably fitted with their own private bathrooms (2 bathrooms in the 4-room-apartment), modern kitchen units incl. dish washers, parquet floor and WLAN-access.

Library services

The KIT library supports students and scientists around the clock with over two million books and 28,000 magazines. Focus areas are natural sciences, engineering and economic sciences. The latest literature is freely accessible in the respective reading rooms. Additionally, the library offers several services via the internet, including regional and national online catalogs. 

Campus life

Located at the International Department of the KIT, the HECTOR School has its own campus in the heart of Karlsruhe. Besides the lecture hall and seminar rooms it also offers high standard accommodation facilities.

The campus of the International Department - home of the HECTOR School - is located right next to the historic castle of Karlsruhe, only a few steps away from the main shopping street, yet in a very calm area.

Sports facilities

The KIT offers students a wide range of sport programs, groups, and activities. You can join the fitness club, use the indoor swimming pool, or the tennis courts. There are also numerous groups and courses for different sport activities: from acrobatics over various ball sports, to yoga.
