History
The predecessor of the school was born in September 1949 on the way of the Chinese People's Liberation Army to liberate Xinjiang. In April 1996, it was formed by the merger of Shihezi Agricultural College, Shihezi Medical College, XPCC Teachers College and XPCC Economics College.
Education
The school currently has 11 majors in economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, and art.
The school has 94 undergraduate majors, 8 first-level disciplines for doctoral degree authorization, 26 first-level disciplines for master's degree authorization, 20 types of master's degree authorization categories, 4 post-doctoral research mobile stations, and 2 post-doctoral research workstations.
There are 1 national first-class construction discipline, 1 national key discipline, and 10 autonomous region key disciplines. The three disciplines of clinical medicine, agricultural science, and chemistry are among the top 1% of ESI in the world.
