Education
In ancient Hindu and Vedic philosophy, the world was construed as a huge family. The Vedic civilization did not regard the geographical boundaries as a division of the world. The thought that the entire earth is united in essence and a huge family imprinted on the Vedic lifestyle. The Sanskrit phrase, 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam' (the earth is a single family) signifies this thought. Inspired by this philosophy, Dr. Mujumdar put his first steps forward as he created a blueprint for Symbiosis in 1971. He truly believed that the various foreign students studying at his institution were all part of a huge family.

"Career Focused"
Strong Industry Connections and Practical Learning
I chose this programme for its reputation in the industry, and it hasn't disappointed. The curriculum is very practical, focusing on skills that are actually in demand. I particularly liked the internship opportunities and the networking events organized by the department. One downside is that some administrative processes can be a bit slow, but the career outcomes make it worth it. If youre looking for a degree that prepares you for the job market, this is the place.

My Transformative Journey at SLSH in BBA LLB
When I joined Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, I entered as a student interested in law. Over the years, the institution transformed that interest into purpose. My experience at SLS Hyderabad has been defined by rigorous academics, competitive advocacy, meaningful mentorship, and opportunities that constantly pushed me beyond my comfort zone. What makes the institution special is not merely its curriculum, but the culture of intellectual engagement it creates. Students here are encouraged not only to study the law, but to question it, challenge it, and understand its impact on real lives.
One of the defining moments of my academic journey was receiving a merit scholarship from Symbiosis International University after securing an 8.71 GPA and standing fourth in my batch during my fourth semester. That achievement was deeply meaningful to me because it reflected the environment of academic excellence that SLS Hyderabad fosters. The institution constantly motivates students to pursue both consistency and depth in learning rather than rote achievement.
Beyond academics, SLS Hyderabad played a major role in shaping my advocacy and research skills. Through moot court competitions, mediation competitions, and legal research projects, I learned how legal principles operate in practical situations. Representing clients in simulated disputes taught me the importance of preparation, strategy, and precision in legal reasoning. Participating as counsel in mediation and arbitration competitions especially helped me understand that law is not only about winning arguments, but also about resolving conflicts effectively and empathetically.
The university also encouraged me to engage with contemporary legal issues beyond the classroom. My research interests gradually evolved toward constitutional rights, labor protections, administrative accountability, and criminal justice reform. Working on topics such as the “Right to Disconnect” and legal accountability within public institutions helped me appreciate how law directly influences dignity, equality, and access to justice in society. These experiences strengthened my desire to pursue advanced legal studies and contribute meaningfully to legal reform.
Another aspect that profoundly shaped my experience was the diversity at SLS Hyderabad. Interacting with students from different states, backgrounds, and perspectives expanded my understanding of society and taught me the importance of respectful disagreement and collaboration. Some of the most valuable learning happened outside formal lectures through debates with peers, discussions with professors, and collaborative preparation during competitions and internships.
The institution also taught me resilience. Balancing academics, research work, competitions, internships, and leadership responsibilities was demanding, but those challenges ultimately helped me become more disciplined, adaptable, and confident under pressure. The culture at SLS Hyderabad does not allow complacency; it encourages students to continuously improve themselves.
Looking back, I realize that SLS Hyderabad gave me much more than legal education. It gave me clarity of purpose. It helped me develop the confidence to engage critically with law while remaining conscious of the human realities behind it. Most importantly, it helped me find my own voice as a student, researcher, and aspiring legal professional.
For me, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad has not simply been a university. It has been the foundation upon which I built both my ambitions and my understanding of what it truly means to pursue justice.
