La Trobe University has been one of Australia's pioneering universities for more than 50 years. In 1967, 552 students enrolled at La Trobe University, the third university to open in Victoria, which has grown to accommodate more than 36,000 students, with over 7,000 international students from 110 countries.

Housing services
- On-Campus Accommodation is available at our Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo and Melbourne (Bundoora) campuses.
- Special rates and offers are currently available for newly arriving enrolled international students.
- All On-Campus Accommodation must be booked before arriving in Australia.
- All newly arriving international students are eligible to apply for the International Student Accommodation Grant to receive a 20% discount on weekly rent if they sign a contract to live on campus for a semester (22 weeks) or an academic year (44 weeks). Sports facilities
The Sports Park from La Trobe University is the first of its kind in Australia. It offers a unique environment to play, teach and research sport.
Located at our Melbourne Campus, the Sports Park precinct supports major participation sports events, grassroots sport competitions and recreation opportunities and is a key component of the University City of the Future.
It’ll also train the next cohort of sport industry professionals through a world-class student placement program.
