Housing services
At present, Pondicherry University has twenty two hostels in the campus, of which, fourteen are for boys and eight are for girls. Out of the fourteen boys’ hostels, ten are for PG courses and four for Research Scholars. Out of eight girls’ hostels, seven are for PG students and one is for Research Scholars. The Karaikal Campus has two hostels one for Boys and one for girls. One boys hostel and one girls hostel is available at Port Blair Campus also. Foreign Students’ Hostels The University has Air Conditioned & non-Air Conditioned hostel rooms available for the foreign students. 40 rooms are available in C.V.Raman Hostel for boys and 49 rooms are available in Madame Curie for girls.
Library services
The Library is renowned for its disabled friendly modern infrastructure (80,000 sq. ft), fully air-conditioned, WIFI enabled, services for the Visually Challenged among the proactive services with RFID technology and 24/7 remote access its collection.

Medical services
The Health Centre of Pondicherry University functions round-the-clock in association with Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences with limited facilities for the benefit of students and staff. An ambulance is also available for emergency medical care.
Campus life
- Port Blair Campus
The campus was initially started in the year 2000, and it located at Port Blair, the picturesque capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It has sophisticated laboratory facilities equipped with latest equipments for field investigations in ocean related sciences.
- Lakshadweep Campus
Pondicherry University has jurisdiction over the Higher Education Institution in Lakshadweep Island and has granted affiliated to several colleges in the island.
Sports facilities
The Pondicherry University is known for its sports activities. The University has two outdoor stadiums, one with a capacity of 800 for football and a standard 400 meters track, and the other one being Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium for 1000 with an international standard pitch. Besides it has also tennis courts, volley ball courts and basket ball courts.A 16 station multi-gymnasium including one treadmill, one bicycle ergo meter, one bicycle elliptical meter, physiotherapy equipment, microwave diathermy, ultrasound, infrared indications and electrical muscles stimulation equipment is also available. The university conducts regular national level tournaments every year with the support of various sponsors.
Student clubs
The Earth sciences Club was founded in September 2013. It conducts field trips, screen documentaries, organize debates, quizzes, treasure hunts and so on so forth. It is also involved with organising the annual event "Mrittika" in Department of Earth Sciences.The students have started the Pondicherry University Quiz Society (PUQS) in June 2012.[17] The inauguration of PUQS was held on 1 August 2011 in Pondicherry University/Lecture Hall Seminar-I. The event was inaugurated by Director of Education of the Pondicherry University, Prof M Ramadass.[18] The first quizmaster of the show was Nikhil Kurien Jacob. The tagline of the Quiz Society is "It's all about Quizzing."

Navigating the Future
My overall study experience in the Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate program was enriching and transformative. The combination of a solid curriculum, research opportunities, and supportive faculty created a conducive learning environment. While there are areas for improvement, particularly in hands-on experience and career services, the program equipped me with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the field. I emerged not only with a deeper understanding of ECE but also with a network of professionals and a clearer vision for my career path.

My life at Idhaya arts and science college, pondy
I never experienced a good life there. It's really a hard time. It never met my expectations academically and socially but somehow I survived. There are only less chances to bring out our talents but i tried hard to write blogs and started an internship at safar in content writing all through my self efforts. Study experience also a mess. Their level of teachings is still poor.
