The first national university in the Caucasus was opened in Georgia in 1918, called Tfilisis Universiteti, laying the foundation for a European-type institution based on Georgian educational traditions.
The idea for the university first emerged in the early 19th century as the struggle for liberation from the Russian empire intensified.
Knowledge Transfer and Innovation Center is a scientific support unit of Tbilisi State University. The center's main goal is to involve the largest number of people possible in innovative activities and discover the authors of innovative ideas in the field of science and technology to give them the opportunity to develop entrepreneurial skills and assist them in the process of developing their work.
The mission of the TSU Student Service and Career Development Center is to promote the comprehensive integration of students into the university by supporting their personal, professional and career development, promoting their participation in university activities, and to facilitate the improvement of social and professional skills needed to participate fully in society and professional life. The Center is also responsible for accommodation, and can offer dormitory facilities to any TSU student.

It is a university that offers various of types possibilities for our success. They do their best to enlight us with education and guide us throughout the whole process. Frankly speaking, my lecturers motivate me a lot.
It is a very friendly place and makes learning very effortless. The teachers are very helpful too Our practical classes have been conducive and they provide extra lessons to build our confidence. Lots of cultural events also take place to balance our hectic schedules.
