92% of our research is world-leading or internationally excellent (according to the Research Excellence Framework (REF) 2021) so your studies will be informed by some of the most exciting and innovative ideas across all fields.
Our research grants and contracts portfolio is worth around £169 million and consists of around 160 funders.
Students' union
The SU (students' union) building houses the SU and their offices, the Student Centre, food outlets and the campus pub and nightclub. SU student development and jobs services are available in the Virgil Building in the city centre.
The Library is open 24 hours a day to staff and students. It provides study space and resources for learning, teaching and research.
Medical Centre: The doctor's surgery offers NHS treatment to staff and students, including medical appointments, prescriptions, advice on sexual health and vaccinations
Dental Centre: The dentist offers NHS and private dental treatment to staff, students and their dependents.
Our campus plays a huge part in bringing together the University community. With lots of places to meet with friends, relax in green spaces, buy food and drink, and study, you’re sure to find where you belong.
If you want somewhere to hang out, you can sit in The Students’ Union or make the most of our green spaces, including the beautiful lake not far from the Parade.
You can find places to study in the Library and throughout campus so you’re never far from somewhere quiet to plug in your laptop and do some work.
If you study at Bath, you can take part in a wide range of sports whatever your level or ability. You could join a club to keep fit and meet people, take part in inter-halls competitions, or be selected to represent the University.
Our £35 million Sports Training Village is the centre of sports on campus. You can access the gym, book fitness classes and take part in sport, whether you're a student, member of staff or member of the public.
