History
Driven by the vision of quality education for all, VIT, Pune, was launched on 1 September 1983. The institute started operations from a small building – Shri Mangal building in a busy marketplace of Pune. The theory classes were held in a school nearby, New English School. The institute was even ridiculed by the newspaper for such an arrangement.

Expensive but good quality education
All good but it's expensive. Students have good experiences on campus. It's also a secure campus with lots of parking space. All the staff are good and well experienced. The latest technology labs are available on campus. Both wired and wifi available on campus. Big library with lots of engineering books.
