Multiple locations
Since Queen Elizabeth II opened the first University of Lincoln building on the Brayford Pool Campus, we have welcomed more than 90,000 students from across 135 countries. Today, we are listed in the world’s top 150 universities in the Times Higher Education’s (THE) Young University Rankings 2020, and hold a top five-star score overall in the QS Stars rating system of global universities.

As a student at the University of Lincoln you will be living in one of Europe’s great historic cities, with a history dating back as far as 300BC. Alongside remains from Lincoln’s Roman heritage, the city is also home to a number of historical buildings and landmarks, including Lincoln Cathedral which was built in 1072 and was once the tallest building in the world.

The University of Lincoln provides a challenging and supportive environment in which to undertake study or research. We offer a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across four academic Colleges and Schools, and our academic teams are involved in research at the leading edge of their disciplines, from developing new antibiotics and more effective cancer treatments, to tackling the digital divide, and preserving historical artefacts.

From developing new medical technologies to help improve cancer treatments, to exploring innovative ways to enhance accessibility in museums for an ageing population, the research of Lincoln’s staff and students is making a real difference to society.

In the latest Research Excellence Framework (REF), more than half of the University of Lincoln’s submitted research was rated as internationally excellent or world-leading.

Employers are increasingly looking for individuals who can make a difference in today’s global workplace. With our expert staff, modern facilities, close links with business, and world-leading research we aim to provide the tools you need to achieve your career aspirations.

The University of Lincoln prides itself on the quality of its teaching, which is reflected in our Gold award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework.
