History

Founded in 1973 as a summer institute for photographers, Maine Media College has fostered a community of photographers, filmmakers, and media artists for the past 52 years.Maine Media’s mission is to educate and inspire visual artists and storytellers to achieve their creative potential. We provide lifelong learning opportunities for those pursuing the fine arts and media-related professions. Maine Media is fully accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education.
