EPF Graduate School of Engineering

History

EPF, former Ecole Polytechnique Féminine (Polytechnic School for Women), was founded in 1925, as one of France's first Grandes Ecoles to train women to be engineers.

Education

EPF trains well-rounded generalist engineers in a 5-year programme. On top of this title, which is mentioned on our CTI-authorized diplomas, our graduates are capable of adapting to business and technological changes and to their future employers' strategies. Our generalist engineers learn to master a wide spectrum of skills so that they can manage complex projects and oversee fundamental developments.

Research

The EPF research policy is designed to foster a true “research culture” at the heart of its teaching model. It is also designed to provide students with new career opportunities.

For students, EPF research offers:

  • A training approach through research,
  • An opening towards research and innovation,
  • A preparation for the engineering career (lab discovery...)
  • A talented developer.

Career

Last year, 95% of our graduates found a job within less than 4 months. Their average gross annual starting salary was €40,000, rising to €45,000 after 3 years of experience. These remarkable figures rank EPF among the best engineering schools in terms of salary, demonstrating its generalist engineers' potential for growth.

Short Courses

Student services

  • EPF has been awarded the Bienvenue en France label, with 2 stars (more information about Bienvenue en France https://www.campusfrance.org/en/the-bienvenue-en-france-label).
  • EPF's Office for Global Engagement organises orientation sessions for new international students before the start of the academic year (last week of August).

  • During this session, we give you a presentation of EPF and how it is organised (courses, exams, rules, etc.) and help you take care of administrative matters (insurance, residence permit, etc.).

  • Advisors will be on hand to help you put together a course schedule.

Housing services

EPF has agreements with CROUS (which manages university residences) and private partners to find housing for international students studying with us.

Campus life

EPF's students have the choice between 3 beautiful campuses in Cachan (close to Paris), Montpellier (south of France) and Troyes (Champagne region), where they can fully enjoy their student years. They have several housing options available: university residences or student housing, rented rooms, individual studios or apartments near the school.

Student clubs

EPF has more than 50 student organisations in a variety of fields (humanitarian, international, sports, technology...). Students take an active part in EPF's organisations, including sports groups, recreational or cultural activities, events and excursions, and humanitarian or volunteer work.

EPF's diplomas are accredited by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research and the “Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs”. EPF is a member of both the “Conférence des Grandes Ecoles” (CGE) and the “Union des Grandes Ecoles Indépendantes” (UGEI).
