  • All rooms are fully furnished.
  • You will share accommodation with other students, usually international students.
  • Rental prices range from €330 to €525 per month. This includes water, electricity, gas and internet access.
  • You will need to pay the rent for the full semester in 1 payment when you sign the rental agreement.

ICT services

Want to work on projects together with your project group? Or do you need a laptop for a presentation? At most Avans campuses you will be able to borrow a laptop from the ICT-Service desk for a day.Within most Avans buildings you will be able to use a wireless network. Through this network you have Internet access including all corresponding services (web mail etc.).

Sports facilities

What is ESN Breda to you? We are a network of students from all over the world. We offer you the opportunity to meet all kinds of people and gain new experiences while doing so. We organize various events, that include but are not limited to themed events, cultural events, sports events and social drinks. With our ESNcard, you enjoy the benefits of our partner discounts. Discounts with partners such as RyanAir, Old Dutch Sports Bar & Restaurant and Happy Tosti to name a few.

Student clubs

ESN Breda, short for Erasmus Student Network Breda, is part of a large international student organization. With over 500 local sections and more than 40 participating countries, ESN is the largest student network in Europe. Breda averages 600 students per year, with a range of exchange and degree-seeking students joining our network annually.

Sociëteit het Forum is the number 1 place for students to meet. This bar on Havermarkt 12 in the centre of Breda is open to everyone on Tuesdays, Thursdays and of course during the weekends. Sociëteit het Forum is run by volunteers, meaning the prices are significantly lower compared to other inner city bars.

Preparing for a succesful career in HRM

Studying Human Resource Management at Avans University in Den Bosch has been an inspiring and highly practical experience. I loved how the program combines solid theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning through multiple internships, which truly prepared me for the realities of the workplace. The lecturers were approachable and supportive, encouraging curiosity and growth every step of the way. While the many internships were intense at times, they gave me confidence, real-world skills, and a clear sense of my future career path. Overall, my time at Avans has been both challenging and rewarding, leaving me motivated, well-prepared, and excited to take the next step in my academic and professional journey.

Tidy campus, pricey cafeteria

I am pretty satisfied with my choice of university so far. I like my teachers, my classmates, the organisation. The rooms are tidy and neat. I like the bike parking and I use it everyday. The bus stops are perfectly located near the building. There are no shops nearby, and the prices in the cafeteria are a bit high for me personally.

Advice to future students

To future students, I would like to share my experiences and offer some valuable insights. Firstly, embrace every opportunity to learn and grow, both inside and outside the classroom. College is not just about academics; it's a chance to explore new interests, meet diverse people, and expand your horizons. Stay organized and manage your time effectively. Balancing coursework, extracurricular activities, and a social life can be challenging, but with good time management, it's entirely manageable. Don't be afraid to seek help when needed, whether it's from professors, tutors, or counselors. There's no shame in asking for assistance, and it can make a significant difference in your academic journey. Finally, remember to take care of your well-being. College can be intense, so prioritize self-care and maintain a healthy work-life balance. Cherish the friendships and experiences that come your way, and make the most of this transformative chapter in your life.
