CIIP: Research
CIIP originates from the Stavanger Centre for Innovation Research (CIR) at the University of Stavanger School of Business. CIR was established in 2008 and has over 30 researchers from the UiS Business School, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Faculty of Technical and Natural Sciences, and the Norwegian Research Centre. CIIP will build on these strengths and continue developing into a global hub for research on the economic, social, and political challenges of innovation.
Student advisors are responsible for issues relating to their respective study programmes. They can help you with issues concerning your studies.
Before you can borrow books from the library you need to pay your semester fee. Then you can download the app Studentbevis and use it as your library card, or you can use your student card to borrow books.
Employees, students at other universities or study places, or other people who want access to the library must drop by our help desk during our staffing hours to register as a library patron.
UiS-IT is an important part in development of the IT strategy, architecture and administration for UiS. Our goal is to work across departments and faculties. As a central service provider of IT, we can find cost-effective solutions, as well as implement and operate these.
SiS Health offers financial subsidies for major healthcare expenses, and can provide information about choosing a GP. You may also contact them if you would like them to run a course or other customised programmes regarding psychosocial issues.
Campus Bjergsted is located in Bjergstedparken near Stavanger city center. The Faculty of Performing Arts is located with among others, Stavanger Concert Hall, Stavanger Cathedral School, Bjergsted Department and Stavanger Cultural School.
SiS sports center is a full-service gym with something for everyone. Here you'll find a strength room, Eleiko lab, performance department, sports hall, squash, and one of the city's most awesome climbing and bouldering arenas.
As a student at UiS you are automatically a member of the student organisation StOr. StOr is a politically independent interest organisation for students at the University of Stavanger.
The University of Stavanger Business School is the first Norwegian business school to receive the EFMD Programme Accreditation.
