University of Information Technology and Management

From the beginning, the University of Information Technology and Management's philosophy has been to provide quality educational programs geared to serve those seeking a solid foundation in knowledge and skills to be competitive in the job market and to obtain successful employment involving the application of space-age information technologies.

History

The University of Information Technology and Management was established in 1996. In the last 20 years, it has become well known for being modern and international. Since the beginning, a lot of effort has been put on research and quality of teaching. Advanced technology is one of the tools which helps us reach this goal.

Education

UITM is committed to driving the global future of higher education by offering 6 undergraduate (bachelor's degree) and 4 postgraduate (master's degree) courses in English.

Research

Understanding the increasing role of international cooperation in research projects the University of Information Technology and Management is ready to offer their scientific potential and experience to research institutions and business partners worldwide.

Career

The Careers Service concentrates on helping students and graduates shift from learning to job-searching and establish contacts with employers. It also popularizes the labour market’s policies and practices.

The Careers Service’s basic methods for providing such services are trainings, gathering and distribution of job offers, conducting preliminary work recruitment, and organising the Podkarpackie Province Job Fair.

Student services

International Office is responsible for helping incoming and current international students with their studies and stay in Rzeszow. Additionally, in cooperation with the Institute for Study on Civilizations it organizes numerous cultural events, which give students the opportunity to familiarize themselves with other cultures and customs.

Housing services

At a student’s request the University may offer help with finding accommodation either in a private flat or in a dormitory, depending on preference.

Library services

The library of UITM has collected around 70,000 books in Polish and foreign languages, about 400 magazine titles, as well as audiovisual and cartographical collections. The profile of our collection is in line with the university’s nature and fields of studies we have in offer.

ICT services

Thanks to modern technology your studies will be more pleasant for you. Our aim is to be as modern as our students are; most formalities are completed online. To make it even easier, free Wi-Fi is available for our students on all campuses. E-mails, chats, electronic student ID cards is a common thing for our students.

Campus life

Apart from the Institute of Economy, Institute for Financial Research and Analyses, The Institute of Biomedical Informatics, Institute for Researches on Civilizations, Centre of Innovation Transfer and Entrepreneurship and the Project Office, the main campus houses a number of other institutes and university bodies. Besides the administrative purposes, the campus also serves students with well equipped facilities which include: modern auditoriums, lecture halls with state-of-the-art equipment as well as computer laboratories with permanent access to the Internet. 

Sports facilities

The campus is a huge complex comprising a sports and recreation hall with a sports arena, many air-conditioned lecture rooms equipped with computers and multimedia devices, cosmetic chemistry, microbiology and histology laboratories, a gym, a sauna, physical therapy rooms, beauty salons und restaurant equipped with a barbecue and dancing area, a hotel, a students hostel, riding stables and indoor horse-riding schools. Hypotherapy and horse riding courses are available in the centre. Active recreation seekers are offered numbers of unique forms of leisure i.a. paintball, skiing, quad driving, and many attractions in a rope park. 

Student clubs

Students can develop their skills and interests by joining student organisations or unions, i.a.

  • Student Self-Government represents students’ interests before the university authorities and prevents the violation of university regulations. It acts to advocate students’ interests.
  • The UITM Graduates' Club integrates alumni of the University of Information Technology and Management. By supporting graduates' initiatives, it strengthens ties between the University and its graduates, assists in students` professional development, and furthers their business ideas.  

The University of Information Technology and Management in Rzeszów has received a number of unique international accreditations, which include i.a.:

  • Accreditation of the Ministry of Education of Singapore,

  • Accreditation of the Malaysian Government,

  • Accreditation granted by the Department of Education of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Poland, Accreditation of the Ministry of Science,

  • Research and Technology of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the U.S. Government Agency Accreditation for the Education of American Armed Forces.
