Flexible studies
The University of Bamberg offers a lot of fields of studies. I started in my masters with economics, but then switched to information systems because of new interests. The facilities of the IS study are relatively new. A lot of different fields in IS and IT can be studied, reaching from AI to ML and deep programming.
Teaching English Beyond the Textbook
What I enjoyed most about studying Teaching English as a Foreign Language was discovering that teaching is not only about explaining grammar or vocabulary but about understanding learners as individuals. The course helped me see how important encouragement, patience, and creativity are in helping students feel confident when using English. I especially liked learning practical teaching techniques and designing lessons because it allowed me to imagine myself as a real teacher in the classroom. One thing that could be improved is having more opportunities for real teaching practice and classroom observation. Experiencing real student interactions would help bridge the gap between theory and practice and make new teachers feel more prepared. Overall, this study experience was meaningful and motivating for me. It strengthened my passion for teaching and helped me grow both professionally and personally. I now feel more confident, more reflective, and more excited about supporting students in their English learning journey.
Satisfied and happy
The university is good in education, academic staff is very professional and helpful. The classes are well taught. I am very satisfied and happy. I like the system it is very convenient to use for example the registration for classes and exams, and plus we always get a notification from the university which is reminding when is the registration for each faculty and also the admission time for each semester. Thas a very scheduled system.
