Overview
The IELTS Preparation - evening from the International House takes place two evenings a week over four weeks.
Students who want to prepare for the IELTS exam and who are unavailable to study during the day because of work or other commitments.
Course objectives
- To help you prepare for the IELTS exam - a qualification that is recognized throughout the world.
- This evening course will help prepare you for the Academic IELTS exam. You can also choose to do an extra special IELTS Skills Focus class.
- Choose the Academic test if you want to join a professional organization, train, or study at an English-medium university at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- The General Training test is for those who want to spend time living or working in an English-speaking country or those who plan to train or study at below degree level there. The programme is taught by our specialist teachers, many of whom are IELTS examiners.
- IH London is an approved IELTS test center.

Course content
This course is created for your individual needs.Tell us the IELTS score you would like to achieve and we will create a study plan with you to work towards it.
The programme concentrates on the academic language you will need to succeed in the IELTS test. You will cover test strategies and how to approach each task type in the exam.
As well as building confidence, you will have extensive practice in the following areas covered in the test:

- You'll need to take and pass the IELTS Entrance Test in order to join this course and to be placed in the correct level. An Entrance Test will be provided once you book your course.
