What You Will Learn

You can take English classes through our Intensive English program. As a full time F1 student you will take a minimum of 20 contact hours per week which will allow you to have more time with your instructors.   You will be in classes with 18-25 language learners from many different countries. Instructors are experienced teachers with Master’s degrees.

Advanced English Study

When you are in the advanced level, you may take college credit courses along with your English courses. After you successfully complete the advanced level, you can enter the college full-time without a TOEFL or IELTS score.

When you complete the advanced level, you will receive a Certificate of Completion from Chemeketa International Programs.

Start Dates:

  • Every term lasts 11 weeks. Our Fall term begins in late September, Winter term begins in January and Spring Term begins at the end of March. Summer term lasts 8 weeks and begins around the third week of June.

General Requirements

  • Once we have received your documents we will review them and provide you an admission answer within a week of receiving your completed documents.

 Issue Acceptance letter and I-20 

  • We will issue your Acceptance letter and your new I-20, these will be mailed to you directly from Chemeketa.

Schedule Visa appointment 

  • Once you receive your documents from Chemeketa, you will need to schedule a visa appointment with the U.S. Embassy.

 Submit Housing and Arrival Forms 

  • Submit your housing and arrival forms to gain priority on your housing preference (if you are interested in our Homestay program
