Overview
This Supply Chain Fundamentals Certificate, which is part of Supply Chain Management MicroMasters Program and is offered by EdX in partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MITx, is the first of three in the Supply Chain Management XSeries that is specifically designed to teach the critical skills needed to be successful in this exciting field.

Through mathematical models, hands-on applications, and real-world examples from industry, you’ll learn to harness mathematical models to master critical supply chain functions: demand forecasting, inventory management, and transportation planning and execution. By the end of this course, you'll be equipped to improve overall supply chain performance and strategically reduce total costs.
Supply Chain Fundamentals is an instructor-paced course. Course content is released on a weekly basis, and a comprehensive syllabus, deadlines, and requirements are provided in Week 0 of the course.

Segment different customers, products, and channels and design an optimal portfolio of logistics approaches and strategies for these various segments
Identify, design, and implement the appropriate forecasting methodology for each segment

Select the optimal transportation routing and modal choice for each segment
