Many graduates have entered highly competitive doctoral programs in a variety of psychological specializations - clinical, counseling, I/O, biopsychology, experimental, social, comparative, statistics, etc.
The Psychology program degree is offered by West Texas A&M University.
Programme Structure
West Texas A&M University has an adaptable program that offers both thesis and non-thesis tracks. It has a core of basic courses and a significant amount of freedom to choose courses to meet a student’s specific needs. It can be setup to help a student become more competitive for doctoral programs in psychology. This is usually done by helping the student decide on the area of interest and developing a thesis in this domain.
The third option is a specialist training in School Psychology and is a 66 hour program that meets the education standards set by NASP (National Association of School Psychologists) for certification and Texas LSSP (Licensed Specialist in School Psychology) licensure. School psychology is not school counseling but a psychologist that works in the school system doing evaluation and intervention.
