Key facts
With a focus on 2D computer aided design (CAD) you will be introduced to the AutoCAD user interface and its toolset. By undertaking a series of exercises your tutor will guide you through the skills required to produce a set of architectural plans, sections and elevations.
During the AutoCAD for Interior Designers programme at the University of the Arts London (UAL) you will acquire a basic working ability with AutoCAD. It is advisable to continue working with the software, following the course, in order to retain and develop your skillset.
Course Outcomes
You will learn the basics of 2D CAD drafting, enabling you to accurately set out your design proposals. By the end of the course you will be able to create your own architectural plans, sections and elevations, whether it be for architectural, interior, theatre, engineering, or product design.Programme Structure
