Overview
Throughout the Warwick Pre-University Summer School programme offered by the University of Warwick you will:
- Experience a taste of university life, with like-minded peers from around the world
- Taught by faculty from one of the UK’s highest ranked universities
- Four courses to choose from:Economics and Finance,Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities, and Science and Engineering
- Enjoy ten nights on Warwick’s beautiful self-contained campus
- Live alongside student ambassadors (current Warwick students)
- Spend the day in London, including a choice of activities, as well as a visit to the famous City of Oxford
- A great mix of academic and personal development sessions as well as social and cultural activities
Programme Structure
The Pre-University Summer School academic content includes:
- 19 hours of academic teaching and professional skills development
- A guest lecture with Simon Gilbert, award winning author and political reporter
- A campus tour with current students
- Advice and guidance on applying to study at university and personal statements
- A visit to a top London University
- A chance to see the University City of Oxford and see inside a college
- A talk from Anisha Bhavnani, a Communication and Change Analyst and Warwick Alumni (EPAIS)
- The chance to live alongside and be mentored by current Warwick students

General requirements
- Students applying for this programme must be aged 16-17 and considering applying or have already applied to university. There are no subject specific criteria but you should be a passionate and enthusiastic learner.
- Our Summer School course is taught in English so students must be able to demonstrate a good level of English language and comprehension. We assess students' English ability through their application and correspondence.
- You may require immigration permission to attend the Warwick Pre-University Summer School (or an electronic travel authorisation [ETA]). You should only start your visa application once you have made a tuition fee payment and received an electronic visa invitation letter.
