Overview
Using the medium of your choice, you will be encouraged to explore your own personal working methods whilst cultivating your individual expression and visual language. Particular emphasis will be placed on developing a painting from reference material, as well as the evaluation and evolution of a composition.
There will be no projects and no limitations. Your tutor; sensitive to each student's unique needs, will actively encourage variety and individuality. Short talks and lectures will be given throughout the course in relation to artists and techniques as well as information on preparation for exhibiting.
Course outcomes
By the end of the Chelsea Open Studio course at the University of the Arts London (UAL), you will have developed your confidence and identity as an artist. Your experience may also lead to art submissions and future exhibitions.Programme Structure
