- Using case studies of past and current social engagement projects, you will learn how to analyse what constitutes a successful project, as well as understanding the finer details of project proposals, budgeting, funding streams and evaluation processes.
- Through discussion, collaborative group work and practical exercises this course will inspire and motivate you to begin programming, curating, devising and facilitating social engagement projects or concepts of your own.
- We will see how social engagement is taking place in cultural organisations and develop a critical framework that participants can use in the future. We will explore the ethics around social engagement, and how they operate within a wider social context, helping us to evaluate the wider impact of social engagement initiatives.
