The London Film School's The Director and Writer Collaboration - From Script To Screen featuring practical writing and directing exercises, and examples of filmed projects – as they appear on the page and in their final incarnation on screen - this is a weekend course for Directors and Writers who want to up their game.
Programme Structure
Courses include:
- Bringing the characters to 3-dimensional life.
- Dialogue – When is it necessary? Too much or too little dialogue can hugely affect the final product.
- Finding the dramatic arc of a scene.
- Shaping the whole story - How to use story beats and outlines to help the Writer, and the Director to realise a common goal.

- CV/Resume
- Personal statement (up to 750 words)
- A description of your life up to the point of applying for the course (max. 1000 words)
- A short film script (no more than 12-15 pages)
- A synopsis for an original feature film (no more than 2 pages)
- Three additional original feature ideas (no more than 1 page per idea)
- Applicants whose first language is not English may also be required to provide proof of proficiency in English.
