What you will study

The Ambulatory Assessment - A Focus on Real-Time Physiological and Behavioral Measurement program offered by University of Bern will introduce the pupillometry method, focusing on research milestones since the appearance in the 1960’s of a series of seminal articles in Science magazine. 

The focus of the first part will be on how to set up a typical pupillometry experiment, with discussion about how to control for artifacts, and what to analyze.  

The second part will elicit ideas for possible pupillometry experiments based on ideas and interests of the students, encourage to elaborate a specific project and an experimental protocol, concluded by group discussions on the various project proposals.

  • how to set up a typical pupillometry experiment
  • possible pupillometry experiments based on ideas and interests of the students
  • combining mobile sensing, e-diaries, wearables and real-time analyses to understand and predict psychological phenomena in daily life
  • networking opportunities to connect and deepen the conversation about the topic
