Overview
What you will study
The Qualitative Methods of Textual and Visual Research course offered by National University of Singapore covers all aspects of research design, from data gathering and management, coding and analysis, to how to report your findings.
From ‘fake news’ to ‘alternative facts’, what people see and read impacts how they think, feel, and act. We are immersed in images and texts. Content and discourse analysis allows researchers to systematically gather and assess the meanings, narratives, and knowledges texts and images circulate; how they represent and performatively shape ‘reality’.
