Overview
What you will study
The objectives of the Well performance course offered by Khalifa University are:
- Identify the components of a complete production system and understand their functions, interrelationships, and effects on the performance of the system.
- Use production and test data to determine the inflow performances of oil and gas wells.
- Understand the basics of multiphase flow in pipes and use correlations to determine outflow performance of wells.
- Determine well performance by integrating inflow and outflow performance.
- Determine well performance with Electric Submersible Pump (ESP).
Learning Outcomes:
- Use mathematics, science and engineering knowledge to study and understand production systems
- Predict inflow performance relationships (IPR), wellbore pressure profile and design vertical lift performance (VLP), including performance with ESP.
- Solve problems combining IPR and VLP.
