Key facts
Each semester, Southwest Jiaotong University's School of International Education of SWJTU provides various Chinese language courses and cultural courses to international students with different levels of Chinese. The main Long-term program courses include intensive reading, extensive reading, listening, speaking, writing, characters and so on. Students will be allocated to appropriate levels according to the results of test on arrival. Experienced teaching staff and small class size ensure the most efficient teaching and learning.

General requirements
- Notarized academic certificate.
- Academic Records.
- A copy of the applicant’s passport.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form (photocopy).
- Financial Guarantee Letter (in RMB or USD) issued by the bank and certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate. It must cover the tuition fees and living expense needed for study in China.
- Applicants under the age of 18 shall submit relevant legal documents of his/her entrusted legal guardians in China.
