Our program, as part of the collaboration with the Buchmann Faculty of Law, is open to students who are looking for challenging, highly academic law coursework with the opportunity to discover yourself through INSPIRATIONAL and immersive cultural activities and excursions.
You will be exploring contemporary challenges to law that stem from the processes of globalization to specific courses on legal and social systems, the ongoing complexities of the Middle East region, and the legal aspects of this world-renowned Start-up Nation.
If you cannot benefit from an existing exchange agreement with partner universities, you can instead participate in this semester or year-long program and can take courses from both the Buchmann Faculty of Law, as well as courses from the TAU International Study Abroad curriculum. Programme Structure
1- Pre-Term Ulpan: Law study abroad students begin with a mandatory (pre-term) Hebrew Ulpan.
2-Semester Break: After completing the Hebrew Ulpan, students have a short winter break. For Spring 2024, winter break is from February 16-March 2, 2024. For a full calendar, please go HERE. Note that the Law students have a different schedule/calendar than regular study abroad.
3-Semester Program: Each year, the TAU Buchmann Faculty of Law offers about fifty law courses taught in English as part of an international program. The program runs parallel to the regular university calendar, therefore generally speaking, the fall semester runs October–January and the spring semester runs February–June.

General requirements
The Law Program application for admission via TAU International is open to students who cannot benefit from an existing direct exchange agreement between universities. Applicants must be accomplished undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at accredited higher education institutions outside of Israel. Generally, a minimum GPA of 80 on a scale of 100, or 3.0 on a scale of 4.0, or equivalent is required. This program is suitable for students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate Law studies. While exceptions can sometimes be made, this is a big requirement.
