What you will study
The Time is Brain course offered by Harvard University will highlight several aspects of acute stroke management that are of interest to most healthcare providers including pharmacists, physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Describe the evaluation and triage of patients presenting with an acute ischemic stroke (AIS)
- Compare and contrast alteplase and tenecteplase therapy for systemic fibrinolysis treatment in acute ischemic stroke
- Evaluate treatment strategies including systemic thrombolysis and/or mechanical thrombectomy for a patient presenting with an AIS

- The role of mechanical thrombectomy
- New data for “wake-up” stroke management
- The role of tenecteplase for acute ischemic stroke
