About

The Annual Current Topics in Geriatrics activity offered by Johns Hopkins University will improve knowledge about diseases and syndromes common in the elderly and offer practical and effective guides to their management.

Overview

What you will study

We wish to acknowledge the support of the Johns Hopkins Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program. As the older adult population lives longer and becomes increasingly diverse, it is imperative that we offer high quality continuing education in the care and management of geriatric patients. Most physicians have received very little or no formal geriatrics training, despite this growing trend in the number of older adults they care for.

The Annual Current Topics in Geriatrics activity offered by Johns Hopkins University is designed to provide practical information to clinicians and healthcare professionals who care for older adults. It will address the specific challenges faced by providers and support team in the diagnosis and management of dementia. Other challenging topics will include dementia, COVID-19 and health screening in the older adult population.
