Overview
What you will study
This Seven Cambridge Nobel Prizes course offered by University of Cambridge will look at the lives and accomplishments of a small selection of Cambridge Nobel Laureates in the Sciences who between them gained seven Nobel Prizes: JJ Thomson; Ernest Rutherford; Paul Dirac and Edwin Schrodinger; James Chadwick; Francis Crick, James Watson and Maurice Wilkins; Abdus Salam and Steven Weinberg; Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar and William Fowler. Their interesting and often strange lives will be discussed along with what impact their work has had on mankind’s history as well as their own legacies. The course assumes no prior knowledge but an interest in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry would be useful.
