In this Motivational Interviewing Simulation Lab course offered by York University , you will 'realplay' by participating as yourself in simulations based on real-world scenarios. Learn how to enhance the effectiveness of motivational interviewing with your clients by practicing your skills in small groups with your interprofessional peers.
Definition of Simulation-based-learning: This method of teaching is used to allow students to “practice” skills immediately, in a safe and mentored environment with facilitators. The facilitator will be present to answer questions and provide suggestions, feedback, and to foster discussion and reflection during and after the simulations.

- Participants who have knowledge and/or training in Motivational Interviewing want a refresher and a deeper dive into the use of MI
- The Motivational Interviewing Certificate OR the Lifestyle and Wellness Health Coach Certificate OR similar MI training through a college or university level program.
- Programs at the Health Leadership & Learning Network (HLLN) are offered in English. To register in our programs, it is your responsibility to ensure that you meet the language requirements.
