Program Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this Leading Organizational Change course at the University of Manitoba, you should be able to:
- describe the theories of change, to apply to the practice of leading organizational change
- identify and compare various types of change in an organization and select appropriate models and processes for change
- assess the alignment between an organization’s vision, strategy and change efforts, from a systems thinking perspective
- create a personal plan to be a positive change agent in your lives and organizations, reflecting on the role of a change leader
- evaluate how an organization’s culture impacts its ability to change
- explore methods to anchor new approaches in an organization’s culture
- critically examine complex organizational issues and create a project charter for sustainable change and improvement
- create a collection of local resources to support implementation of continuous improvement
