Overview
Who is it for?
This Jewelry Design Lab program from Istituto Europeo Di Design(IED) is open to everyone, and no specific requirements are needed. It will be the task of our highly specialized teachers to introduce you to the basics of metalworking. What we ask of you is curiosity and dynamism: together with your fellow students, you will explore Rome and its iconic sites. This is where you will experience the layering of different periods in the art, architecture, and history of the Eternal City. During this journey, you will immerse yourself in the world of jewelry design, from the basics of goldsmithing to workshop techniques.
As a centre of inspiration for research, this city will contribute to the development and refinement of jewelry design techniques through creativity as well as innovation. The Final Project will consist in the creation of your personal jewelry piece and a digital presentation of your experience in Rome.
