What you will learn
The Therapeutic Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults course offered by Red River College Polytechnic will help you gain the knowledge and skills needed to work in therapeutic and recreational programs and services for older adults. In addition, you will learn to plan, promote, deliver and evaluate effective programs for clients in personal care homes, extended hospital care, adult day centres, assisted living and other community-based programs. You will also explore workplace safety, privacy and health regulations through written assignments, group projects, oral presentations and engaging classes.

General requirements
- As a student in the Therapeutic Recreation Facilitator for Older Adults program, you are patient and team-oriented. You also excel at listening and multitasking.
- If you completed 3 years of full-time high school in a Manitoba French Immersion or Division scolaire franco-manitobaine (DSFM) School, you meet English language requirements.
- If not, submit proof of meeting an ELR option within 15 days of applying.
