Overview

Key Features

This  Child Safety- Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention course at the University of Tasmania  aims to raise awareness and understanding around keeping children and young people safe from abusive behaviours. This evidence-based learning is organised around the ideological standpoint that children have a right to be kept safe, but that they also have a right to participate and have a say in matters that affect them. The course addresses myths and misconceptions and provides practical and trauma-informed recommendations.

The Child Safety: Child Abuse Awareness and Prevention course is one of two offerings developed by globally recognised researchers at the Peter Underwood Centre, within the University of Tasmania as part of the University's commitment to children's rights and safety.
