Have you ever thought of yourself as a director?  Whether you are on a board already, or exploring the idea of joining a community sector board - Gamechangers in Governance will equip you with the skills and strategies to be an effective board member and drive impactful change. Gamechangers in Governance at the University of Tasmania has been developed in partnership between the University of Tasmania and TasCOSS as a part of TasCOSS’s Community Services Industry Plan (2021-2031).

Programme Structure

Upon completion you will:
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of community service boards and board members
  • Have awareness of the motivations and benefits of serving on a community board
  • Know how to be an effective board member
  • Be able to identify skills gaps in your board and develop strategies for effective recruitment and retention of board members
