About

The Diabetes Academy – What’s New in Diabetes course offered by University of Melbourne is intended to increase the knowledge and confidence of clinicians caring for people with diabetes.

Overview

What you will study

Diabetes management is rapidly evolving. Recent large randomized controlled cardiovascular outcome trials have provided the evidence for the introduction of a variety of new classes of medications available for use for people with type 2 diabetes. Advances in technology including the use of continuous glucose monitoring devices and insulin pumps are improving outcomes for people with type 1 diabetes.

This Diabetes Academy – What’s New in Diabetes course offered by University of Melbourne provides an evidence-based update for clinicians on the novel medications and emerging technologies available to improve outcomes in people with diabetes. Clinical case studies using video vignettes and multiple-choice questions are designed to optimise comprehension and learning.
