About

Mindful Eating - Conscious Living is an eight-week mindfulness programme at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) that will help you to establish a regular mindfulness practice, and help you to make better choices to manage your mood and stress levels.  In addition, you will also learn how to be less anxious and more at ease around food and eating.

Overview

Through practicing paying attention to the present moment, without judgement, we can cultivate the capacity to tune into the physical experience of eating and how it relates to our moods and emotions.  In time, we can regain our natural freedom around food and eating.

About the Mindful Eating Course Tutor at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol)

Christine Ramsey-Wade is a chartered and registered counselling psychologist. She has had a personal meditation practice for many years, and has undergone mindfulness teacher training with Bangor University.

Christine teaches mindfulness skills to clients in a mental health setting, and teaches mindfulness theory and practices to postgraduates at UWE Bristol. She follows the Good Practice Guidelines for Teaching Mindfulness-based Courses as set by the UK Network for Mindfulness-Based Teachers, and is a UK Registered Teacher for both Mindfulness-based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT).

She has also completed the Mindful Eating-Conscious Living Level 1 and Level 2 Training with Jan Chozen Bays, MD and Char Wilkins, MSW, and is working towards certification as a Mindful Eating-Conscious Living teacher.
