Programme Structure
On successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- identify the key psychosocial impact of long term conditions on the person and their self management skills.
- understand the significance of behaviour change in the management of long-term conditions.
- understand the key features of models of behaviour change such as the social cognition and stages of change models, in predicting behaviour change.
- demonstrate competence in using MI techniques.
- appreciate the research evidence related to the effectiveness of such approaches in the management of long-term conditions.
