Learning and Teaching
The Urban Greening- Planning, Design and Delivery module at the University of the West of England (UWE Bristol) is delivered by way of five study days of face-to-face teaching. These sessions will includes a range of formats including lectures, tutorials, exercises and workshops. Materials, including lecture recordings, will be available in virtual learning environments (VLEs).Assessment
The module assessment consists of a written report split into two tasks: an evidence-based critique of the green infrastructure in a neighbourhood of your choosing and a proposal outlining enhancements to the green infrastructure.Programme Structure
Content- The definitions of key terms including green and blue infrastructure, natural capital, ecosystem services and nature-based solutions;
- The benefits of urban greening in terms of environmental quality, health and wellbeing, and adaptation to climate change;
- The use of evidence from different disciplinary traditions;
- The planning of green infrastructure at different spatial scales;

- Participants are expected to have a first degree at 2.2 level or above (or equivalent), or alternatively have industrial experience. We strongly recommend that you speak to the course tutor prior to the course if you are unsure about your suitability to complete the course or assessment.
- If you are a non-UK student you will need to show your valid passport on entry to the UK. Please check your eligibility to visit and study in the UK here. If you are a non-Irish EU national currently resident in Ireland please contact us for further advice.
