Overview

This Evaluating Large-Scale Health Programs Specialization offered by Coursera in partnership with Johns Hopkins University. This specialization teaches learners how to plan and implement effectiveness evaluations of large-scale health programs. 

It focuses on evaluating health programs in low- and middle-income countries, where routine data are less available and reliable and therefore are often not sufficient to support a rigorous evaluation.

What you'll learn

  • Develop a technically-sound evaluation plan and guide stakeholders through a process of agreeing on priority activities.

  • Develop a rigorous plan to measure the impact of the program, or model it with the Lives Saved Tool.

The content draws heavily on work conducted by the instructors in the areas of maternal and child health and nutrition, using examples of large-scale evaluations from many countries.
