Underpinned by the principles of compassionate leadership and grounded in the lived experience of those who draw on mental health services, the Leading and Managing Mental Health Services in England programme at Oxford Brookes University focusses on effectively managing teams and working with key system partners. It’s about the things that matter to people and what’s needed to make change happen.

- The leadership styles needed to promote and embed evidence-informed practice
- A detailed look at key policy priorities in mental health services
- How to co-produce quality improvement
- An exploration of how to enhance team and individual performance

Who is the programme for?
- It is designed specifically for first-line managers working in a community setting (probably at Band 7 if employed by the NHS, but we welcome aspirant leaders at Band 6 as well), to facilitate their development as leaders of mental health services.
- The learning is relevant and applicable across both adults’ and children’s services.
