About

This Law for Surveyors course at Nottingham Trent University will help you develop your knowledge and understanding of the legislation and legal principles relevant to the work of Chartered Surveyors and advisers working in the real estate and construction professions.

Teaching and learning will take place using a flexible programme of lectures, workshops, seminars and tutorials.

Outcomes

By the end of this Law for Surveyors course at Nottingham Trent University, you’ll be able to:

  • understand the operation of Acts of Parliament and case law within the legal system of England and Wales
  • evaluate and apply these principles of law within the context of the property industry
  • analyse different legal aspects of property occupation in current practice
  • understand law and practice in appraising scenarios using legal authority and reasoning to inform your future practice.

  • Applicants with non-standard entry qualifications and/or relevant experience will be considered on an individual basis.
