Overview
This Psychological Science for 15 - 17 Year Olds summer school at Nottingham Trent University is an excellent opportunity to engage in critical discussions, design psychological studies, implement statistical software to answer psychological questions and generate explanations for human behaviour across a range of topics.
What you will learn
During this summer school you will:
- Explore psychological theory across a range of everyday topics, such as psychology of addiction, psychology of conspiracy, psychology of sleep, psychology of sport, psychology of body perception.
- Engage in critical psychological thinking and discussion across important real-world topics that are relevant to them.
- Evaluate the mechanisms of human behaviour
- Engage in the scientific practices involved in psychological research
- Have practical hands-on experience with specialist software used in psychology
- Experience what studying psychology might be like at University
- Engage in psychological thinking that can be applied in everyday life
- Upon completing the course, you will be equipped with some of the background theoretical knowledge and skills essential even in year 1 study of psychology.

- Quantitative research methods - learn some statistical coding (in R)
