Overview
The Beauty Therapy and Make Up course at Cambridge Regional College will teach you anatomy and physiology, health and safety, client care and communication skills as well as linking retail opportunities into your treatments.
Outcomes
The Level 2 qualification will lead onto Level 3 Beauty and/or level 3 media make up routes, subject to you completing level 2 and a successful progression interview.
There are many options available to you once you are a fully qualified beauty therapist, many students choose to do additional courses such as nail and lash extensions and concentrate on specialising in the aesthetics industry. Others decide to do Massage courses and prefer the Spa industry.
Other career opportunities include: product developer, product or treatment rep, trainer and assessor, cruise ship or airline therapist.

General requirements
- Entry will depend on a successful interview and 3 GCSE’s at grade 3 (D) to include Maths and English. A grade 3 is science is also preferable, though not essential. Or a completed Level 1 Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
- Individuals will be considered on their suitability, references showing good attendance and behaviour and a genuine interest in the industry.
- In addition to the entry qualifications listed, the offer of a place on the course is subject to the outcomes of initial assessment, which will be taken at the College as part of the admissions process.
